Activities for the year 2020 – 2021

A five-day Key Resource Person (KRP) training programme on Social Science for the teachers of the secondary stage has conducted from 21st January to 25th January, 2020 at Cotton University, Panbazar, Guwahati. Altogether 157 number of teachers from 27 districts attended the training programme.The objectives and concept of social science at secondary stage of education, components of social science, NCF, 2005, pedagogy of social science teaching, etc. were discussed during the training.

A module was developed for KRP training on social science at the secondary stage by the experts in the pedagogical process of social science.

Correction of  social science textbook of classes-VI & VII ( map correction-as newly formed union territories) in 2020

Correction of EVS textbook of class- V (map correction).

Development of taxonomy for EVS textbook.

Publishing of E-content for EVS textbooks.

 Development of radio script on Environmental Studies in 2021.

The following activities were carried out by the Department of Social Science, SCERT, Assam in collaboration with C& MD SCERT in previous years.

Review and content updating of Social Science textbooks of class VI,VII, and VIII in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English and Hindi. (3books x4 medium=12 no) in 2018.

Development of training module for 5 day in-service teacher training on  Social Science for professional development of teachers at elementary stage on the basis of analysis of Gunatsav and NAS result .

Training of KRPs on Social Science for in-Service teachers for their professional development at elementary stage.

Incorporation of  QR Code in Social Science textbooks  of Assamese and English  medium  for  classes VI,VII& VIII.

Development of e-content for incorporating QR code  in the   Social Science textbooks of  Assamese and English medium.
