49th Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani-2022

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi organizes the National Science, Mathematics, and Environment Exhibition for children every year in collaboration with one of the State/UTs, by rotation. This is a programme of NCERT aimed at stimulating interest in science and inculcating scientific temper in the young generation, besides popularizing science among them and the general public. The program provides an important platform for children to express their innovations through small prototypes/exhibits.

In order to ensure the widest possible participation and involvement of students and teachers in the programme, NCERT organizes this exhibition in two phases. In the first phase, exhibitions are held in each and every state and union territory from the district to the state level. In the second and final phase, NCERT organizes the National Level Exhibition for Children. The exhibits and models in this national exhibition are displayed by the students coming from the grass-root level through Block, district. State-level exhibitions organized the previous year by all the States, UTs, and organizations like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Department of Atomic Energy Central Schools, Central Tibetan Schools Administration, CBSE affiliated Public Schools (independent schools) and Demonstration Multipurpose Schools of Regional Institutes of Education, etc. Thus this activity encourages meaningful participation of children at the national level and attracts quality exhibits from the school system.

49th Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani-2022 was organized by the Government of Assam at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati from 22 November to 26 November 2022 in collaboration with NCERT, New Delhi.  The National level exhibition was hosted by the Govt of Assam for the second time after an interval of 35 years.
